Ricky Martin has revealed the he and his husband have welcomed their first child together.
The Puerto Rican singer took to social media to reveal the happy news that he and husband Jwan Yosef had welcomed a baby girl – and they even confirmed the little one’s adorable name.
Announcing their daughter’s arrival on his Instagram page, the Livin’ La Vida Loca singer uploaded a sweet picture of both the new fathers holding their little girl’s hands.
Captioning the heartwarming image with messages in both English and Spanish to appeal to his fans all around the world, the dad-of-three wrote: ‘We are beyond happy to announce that we have become parents to a beautiful and healthy baby girl, Lucia Martin-Yosef.’
‘It has been a special time for us and we cant wait to see where this stellar baby will take us,’ he continued. ‘Both her beautiful brothers and me and Jwan have fallen in love with Lucia’.
The 47-year-old’s Syrian-born husband uploaded the same sweet picture accompanying it with the same message in both English and his native Arabic.
Fans rushed to congratulate the pair, who attended the royal wedding back in October, with one writing: ‘Omg!!! Congratulations. God bless your beautiful family.'
A second said: ‘Congratulations!! What a blessing for the entire fam.'
A third added: ‘Congratulations to you all especially your sweet baby girl, Lucia Martin-Josef. May god bless her with a fantastic life and may your family be happy and healthy always!! Happy New Year as well!!! What wonderful news.’
Another commented on the cute name, writing: ‘So beautiful name Lucia! Take care of her little girls are a blessing!!!’
This is the first child that the couple have welcomed together, after confirming just last year that they had married in a secret ceremony.
In confirming his nuptials in January, the pop singer, who got engaged to his Swedish artist husband in 2016, spoke to E! News about his desire to add to his family.
The dad-of-three, who is father to 10-year-old twin sons Valentino and Matteo after he used a surrogate back in 2008, said: ‘I want four more pairs of twins. I do want a big family, but there’s a lot going on at the moment.
‘A lot of work, wedding, so we’re going to put things in order first and then we’re going to get ready for many more kids.’
