Princess Charlotte’s feelings on her upcoming school move have been revealed by her mum Kate Middleton.

Princess Charlotte is having a very exciting few months this summer.

Just a few days after celebrating her fourth birthday in May, the young royal was given a new baby cousin to play with when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle welcomed their first child baby Archie.

She then accompanied younger brother Prince Louis at his first Trooping the Colour appearance during the weekend, where she showed off her infamous sassy personality with an adorable hairstyle change.

But her biggest event of the summer is yet to come.

The four-year-old will be leaving her current nursery to start at a new school – and mum Kate Middleton has revealed how the little royal is feeling about it.

During a walkabout in the Lake District, the mum-of-three chatted to fellow parents about how her daughter was feeling ahead of her upcoming milestone.

Chatting to mum Helen Jones, who was out with four-year-old daughter Eva, Kate said revealed that Charlotte is very excited about starting school in the autumn.

‘She said Charlotte was looking forward to school,’ Helen told HELLO! Magazine. ‘She was very friendly,’ she added.

Princess Charlotte has been attending Willcocks Nursery School in South Kensington since last January, but will be leaving there at the end of this term to make an important move.

This September the young princess will be joining older brother Prince George and enrolling in Thomas’s Battersea School.

The Battersea-based independent primary school has been home to five-year-old Prince George since September 2017 and the young royal apparently manages to enjoy a surprisingly normal school life there.

It is believed that Prince William and Kate Middleton chose the mixed school so that all of their children could attend the same establishment.

‘The plan was always for Charlotte to follow George to Thomas’s so Louis will probably also be going,’ a royal family source told Vanity Fair. ‘William and Kate are very happy.’

Not long until we get a glimpse of the young royal in her new uniform!
