Meghan Markle and Prince Harry send sweet birthday message to Prince Louis

Harry and Meghan

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have sent a really sweet birthday message to Prince Louis, who turned one yesterday.

The youngest of the Cambridge brood celebrated his first birthday yesterday, and the occasion was marked with brand new snaps of the royal tot.

As they’ve done for George and Charlotte previously, Kate and William decided to share the sweet pictures with fans on Kensington Palace’s social media account, alongside the message: ‘The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to share three new photographs of Prince Louis ahead of his first birthday tomorrow.

‘The photographs were taken earlier this month by The Duchess at their home in Norfolk.’

While the posts were quickly flooded with lots of comments from royal fans, someone very special in Louis’ life also took the chance to send him a sweet message.

Under the post on Kensington Palace’s Instagram, using their brand new Sussex Royal account, Meghan and Harry wished their nephew a happy birthday.

The sweet message said: ‘Happy Birthday Louis! Sending lots of love from both of us 🎂🎈xo’.

It’s not clear whether Louis had a little birthday celebration, as the family travelled back from Norfolk in preparation for George and Charlotte’s return to school on Wednesday.

According to Reader’s Digest, the Cambridges usually celebrate their children’s birthdays in private with only close friends and family members in attendance. For instance, it’s said Charlotte celebrated her second birthday with a tea party at home.

Even so, it’s unlikely Meghan – who’s currently heavily pregnant and waiting for her to arrive - would have been able to attend.

She missed the royal family’s Easter service on Sunday, which Prince Harry attended as well as William and Kate.

It’s not known when her exact due date is but royal baby news could come any day now – watch this space…
