Singer Natalie Imbruglia is expecting her first child after using a sperm donor and IVF
Natalie Imbruglia is expecting her first child.
The Australian singer-songwriter took to Instagram to share the exciting news that she is expecting her first child after using a sperm donor and going through IVF.
Uploading a sweet image of her posing in the mirror cradling her growing bump, the 44-year-old made a shock announcement, sneakily hiding the snap as the second in a series of photos so that it didn’t immediately show up on her grid.
Burying the lead in her caption she then revealed another exciting piece of news that related to her lead image, where she is sitting around a table with a group of label executives – that she has signed a new record deal.
‘I’m very happy to announce that I have just signed a record deal with BMG!!,’ she wrote. ‘What an AMAZING team. I have been busy writing for the past year and a half and can’t wait to share these new songs with you all!!!!’
The musician then continued to make her surprising pregnancy reveal, writing: ‘And as you can see from the pic.. there is another announcement... (no I haven’t swallowed a watermelon). I’m expecting my first child this Autumn.
‘For those of you that know me, this has been something I have wanted for a very long time and I’m blessed that this is possible with the help of IVF and a sperm donor,’ she continued. ‘I’m so excited about this next adventure... a new album and I’m going to be a mum! 🎶🤰🏻🎉😍❤️✨’.
