Hollyoaks’ Nadine Mulkerrin expecting first child with fiancé Rory Douglas-Speed
Hollyoaks stars Nadine Mulkerrin and Rory Douglas-Speed are expecting their first child together.
The soap stars took to social media to announce the exciting news as they headed to the red carpet last night to celebrate the British Soap Awards.
Posting a sweet photo that shows the couple dolled up for the awards ceremony and facing each other smiling with Nadine blossoming baby bump clearly on show, the pair both revealed the news writing ‘That’s us three ready for the @thebritishsoapawards’.
The expectant parents followed up with a series of further snaps with captions discussing the exciting news.
‘What an Incredible Night!’ wrote Nadine, alongside a sweet photo of her cradling her bump.
‘@hollyoaksofficial Being nominated & doing the carpet with my best friend, with our little peanut kicking inside, it was my favourite soap awards night to date! Even if I couldn’t down anything fizzy to celebrate our win!’
She also uploaded a cute snap of the pair on the red (and glittery) carpet, where Rory is planting a kiss on her cheek.

‘Baby Daddy Goals,’ the mum-to-be captioned her post.
Fans rushed to congratulate the pair on their happy news, with comments including: ‘Awww congratulations. You look stunning’, ‘Huge congratulations to you both, you both looked stunning xx’ and ‘Ohhhhhh @nadinemulkerrin this has made my day ❤❤❤❤ congratulations xxx’
‘The best news ever!’ wrote one fan. ‘Love you two so much... oh wait, three now! ❤’
‘Omg where did that bump come from?’ added another. ‘Eeek exciting times, what a beauty ♡ congratulations x x x’.
This will be the first baby for the soap star couple, who announced their engagement back in December.
The pair, who play Cleo McQueen and Joel Dexter on-screen, opened up on their romantic Amsterdam engagement in an interview with OK! Magazine.
‘It was terrifying,’ admitted Rory. ‘I felt like I was on my knee for an eternity and I remember saying: ‘Go on, just say something!’ I felt that she was always going to say yes because we always have a laugh about it, but in that moment when I was on my knee I thought, she’s saying no!’
‘Rory has made me so much kinder,’ gushed Nadine, ‘even my mum and my sisters say it. I feel like he makes me the best version of myself.’
Congratulations to the pair on their exciting news!
