Love Island’s Malin Andersson welcomes first child - who she's named after her late mum
Love Island’s Malin Andersson has welcomed her first child with boyfriend Tom Kemp.
The 25-year-old, who revealed her pregnancy back in June, took to Instagram to reveal the news that she had welcomed a daughter seven weeks early.
She also revealed that her baby girl, who is currently being cared for at Great Ormand Street Hospital, is named Consy after Malin’s late mum who died in November 2017 from cancer.
Alongside a sweet photo of Malin and Tom holding their baby daughter’s hands, the new mum wrote: ‘Happy New Year..Tom and I are so happy to let you all know that our baby girl CONSY arrived in this world 23rd December 2018, seven weeks early.
‘She is so beautiful,’ continued the gushing mum, ‘we are totally in love with her and feel so blessed that she is here but unfortunately due to complications, she is currently being cared for at Great Ormond Street.
‘We have received a number of messages over the past week and there has been a lot of speculation and so we wanted to share our news with you so you could hear from us first hand.

‘We are so thankful for the amazing care she is receiving here and promise to update you on her progress but for the time being we hope you can all respect our privacy. We can’t wait to share her with you all soon. Love, Ma & Tom x
Fans rushed to congratulate the pair, sending the newborn their well wishes and writing the caring parents messages of encouragement.
Malin, who met Tom in the same month she lost her mother, recently spoke about her pregnancy to The Sun.
‘I am feeling quite shocked about being pregnant to be honest. It hasn’t sunk in yet. My mum passed away in November and within the same year I will be bringing a new life into the world.
‘I would like a girl. I’ve got a feeling it’s going to be a girl as well.’
Looks like she was on the money there.
Congratulations Malin and Tom and all our best wishes to little Consy.
