Kensington Palace shares brand new picture of Princess Charlotte and Prince George after first day of school

• Princess Charlotte has a very big day today, as she started attending Thomas’s Battersea alongside brother Prince George.
• The cute royal duo was photographed before heading to school.
• This follows royal news that revealed what name Princess Charlotte will use at her new school.

Kensington Palace released a new snap of the royal duo, alongside the caption: 'The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to share a photograph of Prince George and Princess Charlotte at Kensington Palace this morning.

'The photo was taken shortly before Their Royal Highnesses left for Thomas's Battersea ✏️📚🏫.'

Royal fans were quick to comment on the adorable snap, with one saying: 'I see a lot of mischief in that young lady’s eyes! Be afraid. Be very afraid! 😘'.

Another wrote: 'She’s such a fun personality! Lovely children! ❤️❤️'.

The picture is very similar to Prince George's first day snap back in 2017, but this time both the little ones were picture at Kensington Palace, where they live with their mum and dad.

This morning, the whole Cambridge family - minus Prince Louis - was photographed walking into the school, before Kate and Wills' children were left with their colleagues.

In a video also shared on the Kensington Royal social pages, Princess Charlotte looks slightly shy and apprehensive about her new school - like most kids on this special day - and even hid behind mum Kate.

Prince George, who's usually the quiet one in front of the cameras, seemed in high spirits as he pulled funny faces - we bet he'll make Charlotte right at home very soon!

That also made a big difference to the pictures of Prince George walking into his first day of school, as the little royal didn't have his mum by his side at the time.

The Duchess of Cambridge was suffering from severe morning sickness at the time, so she was unable to accompany her eldest child on his first day at Thomas's Battersea.
