Kensington Palace share unseen photo of Kate Middleton for a lovely reason

The Duchess of Cambridge judged the Blue Peter Royal Garden competition, which aired this week.

  • To celebrate the occasion, Kensington Palace Instagram account shared a previously unseen photo of the Duchess.
  • Fans recognised the dress she was wearing, as she wore it earlier this year.
  • This follows royal news that Kate Middleton makes very relatable confession about Prince George.

Eagle-eyed royal fans noticed that Kate Middleton was wearing the same LK Bennett dress that she wore to the polo match that the Duke of Cambridge and Duke of Sussex attended in July.

In the photo, the Duchess was spotted speaking with other judges at the Blue Peter competition. Other photos in the Instagram post included more from the RHS Wisley garden, and Kate Middleton speaking with the competition runners up.

The winner of the competition got their sculpture featured at RHS Wisley, where Kate recently opened her Back to Nature garden. Her photo was included on the Kensington Royal account too.

The caption read: ‘The Duchess of Cambridge joined @CBBC’s #BluePeter to unveil the winner of their Garden Competition at @RHSWisley – congratulations Jessica 👏 on your winning design!

‘Jessica’s beautiful winning sculpture 🦋 is made of wood and recycled metal, and wowed the judges with its stunning butterfly wings, covered in clematis flowers 🌸 swipe to watch The Duchess and Jessica seeing the winning design for the first time.

It added: ‘Congratulations also to the runners-up, Lucy and Megan, who designed beautiful tin can herbs 🌿 and den building ⛺ activity cards.

‘The Duchess, Ben from @The_RHS and George Hassall joined the judging panel to pick out the winning entry for the competition, which The Duchess launched back in June this year 🍂’.

We think it was lovely that Kate Middleton wanted to involve children in her garden even more, by inviting Blue Peter viewers to submit their work. The winner was revealed on a recent episode of the programme.

CBBC shared the exciting news too, writing: ‘An amazing moment for one Blue Peter competition winner, who got to meet HRH Duchess of Cambridge and show her the sculpture she designed for the new children's garden in @RHSWisley'.
