Kate Middleton will get back to official royal engagements soon
Kate could be back to work next month...
Kate Middleton has been taking an extended maternity leave since the birth of Prince Louis but it's thought that she could be back to work next month.
Kate Middleton gave birth to her third child with Prince William back in April and has decided to take a longer maternity leave than she has taken before.
Kate's last official engagement was in March at the CopperBox Arena in the Olympic Park, London for a SportAid event.
She's had several other public appearances over the summer but these are categorised as family commitments rather than official royal work.
We saw Kate at Prince Harry's wedding just weeks after giving birth and again at the Trooping of Colour. Kate was also out for her youngest son's christening in July but apart from that she has been fairly off the radar.
According to The Sun's royal correspondent Emily Andrews Kate will be returning to the public eye in October, though her first official engagement back has not yet been confirmed.
Speaking on her royal podcast, On Heir, Emily said: 'This time of the year, you do see a massive uptick in the number of royal engagements. We're getting engagements now with William, Harry, Meghan. Nothing yet on Kate. We understand that we will start seeing a return to her work in October.'

Kate wanted to take longer off with Prince Louis to help the whole family adapt to the situation and so that she had more time to spend with her children before they went back to school.
Kate will also have been keen to be around for her sister Pippa who is pregnant with her first child since marrying James Matthews in May last year.
Luckily for Prince Louis his first new playmate in the family was born this week and it shouldn't be too long before Pippa gives birth too.
Prince Louis has a five year age gap with Prince George and three with Princess Charlotte so he'll benefit from having Spencer Matthew's son and Pippa Middleton's child to play with.
