Kate Middleton was out at a royal engagement this week when she revealed she has big plans for Prince George

The mum-of-three - who recently shut down pregnancy rumours - visited the Scouts' headquarters in Gilwell Park in Essex, to learn about a new pilot scheme that allows children aged four to six to experience Scouting.

While speaking to teenage Explorer Scouts during the visit, Kate revealed that she wants her kids to grown up with the scouting movement.

One of the Explorer Scouts, Tahseen Patel, told HELLO! Magazine: ‘She [Kate] was interested in the early years and how you learn things in Scouting that you don't learn in school and elsewhere, like you learn way more things in Scouting.

‘And how she wants her children to grow up in the Scouting movement, not just in school, because she tries doing things at home but there's only so much you can do and you need to build relationships with other people.’

When asked if George has joined the Scouts, the Duchess said he hasn’t yet but she wants him too: ‘He hasn't yet, but she said she'd love him to. He'd be like a little ambassador.’

As the age requirement to be a Beaver Scout is six to eight, maybe the prince will be joining after his birthday in July?

Clearly impressed with the work the Scouts do and how the activities they offer complement the education children get at school and at home, Kate said: ‘I can see how schools and parents will really value what’s on offer here as they’re not always able to provide all these activities.’

Another teenage scout, 14-year-old Lauren Noble, told PEOPLE: ‘She said she would like them to go into the scouting community because she loves what it stands for — that it’s a very open and inclusive way into life.

‘She said it would be a great thing for them to get involved in.’

The organisation is close to Kate’s hearts, as she’s been a patron of the Scouts since 2012. She was also a Brownie as a kid, and volunteered for them when she lived in Wales with William.
