ITV’s This Morning will now be airing six days a week
ITV’s This Morning has announced that it will now air on Sundays.
Regular presenters Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby announced the news on today’s show that the popular daytime show will now be airing six days a week.
‘We have an exciting announcement to make for Sunday mornings,’ said Phillip on today’s programme, ‘with a weekend episode of This Morning!’
However, the weekend edition of the BAFTA-winning show will no be hosted by the iconic pair, but instead by husband and wife duo and ITV regulars Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford.
‘Eamonn and Ruth will be taking you through the highlights of This Morning from that week,’ said Phillip, ‘with some exclusive guests and lots of weekend treats thrown in for good measure.’
‘It’s official,’ added Holly, ‘we’ll be going on the telly six days a week! Lazy Sunday mornings couldn’t get any better.’
Like the weekday run, This Morning on Sunday will feature guest interviews and advice from the show’s visiting experts, as well as fun recipe demonstrations and a touch of entertainment from the endearing hosts.

‘We’ll be there on Sundays to put the cherry on top of your best This Morning bits of the week,’ said ITV legend Eamonn. ‘Not only will anything you’ve missed be featured, Ruth and I will also be adding our own fresh content that you won’t have seen.’
‘So stay in your pyjamas, put your feet up and enjoy a Sunday on This Morning with us!’ added his wife of eight years Ruth.
‘This Morning on Sunday will be an unmissable package of the week’s most talked about moments on and off TV,’ said This Morning’s editor Martin Frizell. ‘It will be the best of This Morning rolled into one perfectly formed hour and will continue its warm, inclusive, intelligent and fun tone.’
Emma Gormley, Managing Director for ITV Studios Daytime, added, ‘2018 was an amazing year for This Morning, celebrating its 30th birthday, record viewing figures and winning a BAFTA, so this new Sunday commission is a brilliant start to 2019.’
This Morning on Sunday starts on 20th January on ITV from 10.30am.
