Hugh Jackman films adorable video for young fan who sang The Greatest Showman song for him
Hugh Jackman left followers gushing after he filmed an adorable video for a young super fan.
The Hollywood actor, who played protagonist P.T. Barnum in 2017’s smash-hit musical The Greatest Showman, posted the sweet video to his Twitter page after the young fan caught his attention.
After failing to secure tickets to Hugh Jackman’s The Greatest Showman show, The Man, The Music, The Show, in Dublin, seven-year-old Emma Cooney’s mum filmed an adorable video of the young girl singing along to A Million Dreams from the musical film.
‘Ok Twitterverse, I need your help,’ wrote the desperate mum, ‘my little girl is #obsessed with #thegreatestshowman and @RealHughJackman but silly me didn’t realise this in time to get tickets to his show in #dublin - so she sang this for him instead! Please help me get it to him & make my girl happy!’
The post was then liked nearly 1,500 times and retweeted over 200 times by Twitter users hoping to catch the attention of the A-List actor.
Emma’s mum Jacqueline even followed up with a tweet tagging a host of celebs who Hugh follows on Twitter, including actors Ryan Reynolds, Russell Crowe and Liev Schreiber, comedian Ricky Gervais, and TV host Jimmy Fallon, asking them to retweet to get the X-Men star’s attention.
Thankfully, her efforts paid off, as the 50-year-old’s fellow X-Men co-star Liev Schreiber shared the video and managed to get it to its intended viewer.

In a video he posted on Twitter with the caption, ‘Got your message @Jacki_Coo’, the dad-of-two said: ‘Okay Jacki Cooney it worked – got to me.
‘Yeah very ingenious and I just want to say to your little girl thank you so much for singing that song, thanks so much for being a fan and never stop dreaming.
‘And remember – life is what you choose to make it so make it fantastic. Sending lots and lots of love, bye.’
Fans went crazy over the post, calling the A-lister ‘amazing’, an ‘inspiration, a ‘legend’, ‘one in a million’ and a ‘shining example of the best Hollywood has to offer’.
