Emmerdale star Hayley Tamaddon announces first pregnancy after struggle to conceive
Hayley Tamaddon has announced that she is pregnant with her first child.
The Emmerdale actress took to social media to share the exciting news that she is expecting her first child with boyfriend Adrian at the age of 42.
Alongside a sweet photo that she posted on her Twitter page that shows her showing off her with a beaming smile on her face, the expectant mum wrote: ‘EXCITING NEWS TWEET!! I’m so pleased to tell you all... I’m expecting my first child with my wonderful boyfriend Adrian!! I’ve always wanted to be a mum and didn’t think I could have children. And now, at the ripe old age of 42 - I’M PREGNANT! We couldn’t be happier.'
Friends and followers rushed to congratulate the excited mum-to-be, with a host of famous faces also joining in on the well-wishes.
Coronation Street co-stars Samia Longchambon and Kym Marsh, who is expected to become a grandmother any day now at only 42, wrote ‘Aww gorgeous news Hayley! Huge Congrats xxxx’ and ‘So so happy for you my darling girl xxx’.
While fellow Emmerdale star Matthew Wolfenden, who is currently expecting his third child with soap actress wife Charley Webb, added ‘AMAZING news Hayley! Congratulations! loads of love xx’.
Former Hollyoaks star Susie Amy, who welcomed her first child back in January at the age of 37, commented on the post writing: ‘Oh my goodness I’m SO delighted for you!!!!! X’.

The soap star, who played Delilah Dingle on Emmerdale and Andrea Beckett on Coronation Street, previously opened up about her desire to become a mother at some point in her life.
Speaking to The Mirror back in 2014, she said: ‘I’m a very happy girl at the moment. I’m doing everything that I love to do. My family are very proud of me.
‘My body feels 37 but I still feel 21. I sometimes forget that I’m going to be 40. It would be lovely to have kids in the future but for now my main concentration is my work.’
