'Perhaps a little X-Rated for some' Festive polar bear display deemed rude by shoppers but can you spot why?
A polar bear display in a shopping centre has been deemed rude by shoppers, but can you spot why?
The festive display was first spotted by a Twitter user who shared pictures of the fake animals at Tynwald Millson shopping centre, on the Isle of Man, on her social media.
Alongside the images, she wrote: 'Went to Tynwald Mills today and was quite amused yet disturbed by their placement of their Xmas polar bears 😳🙈🤣 #merryxmas #ohmy #naughtybears #feelingthelove #frombehind #bearbehind'.
While the scene may look completely innocent at first, shoppers pointed out that it looks like mama and papa Bear seem to be having intimate time in front of their little ones... and the rest of the shopping centre.
Faced with the controversial scene, many people took to social media to comment on it.

Following the controversy, the shopping centre issued a statement on their official Facebook page, saying the display has now been changed.
It read: 'We’d like to thank our customers for getting a little too into Christmas this year with our Polar Bears in the atrium and can reassure you the display has changed somewhat since setup.
'Apologies to anybody offended by our somewhat interactive display. #nightattheshoppingcentre #naughtybear'

However, some people were disappointed to see the naughty bears moved. One said: 'I completely understand some people may have been offended by the display and the bears had to be told to refrain themselves however I thought it was hilarious and harmless for the short time they were allowed to play mummy and daddy.'
Another added: 'That’s a shame!! You should have left it, I thought it was a clever idea to get people up to see it and shop!!'
To which the shopping centre replied: 'Perhaps a little X-Rated for some! - the polar bears have had a talking to, and our severe case of ‘Night at the Museum’ hopefully won’t repeat itself!'
