Actor Eddie Murphy and fianceé Paige Butcher have announced the birth of their second child.

At 57-years-old Eddie Murphy is a dad — again, for the 10th time.

The Dr Dolittle star and his fianceé Paige Butcher welcomed their second child together — Murphy’s 10th child overall — on November 30, Eddie’s representative confirmed to People magazine.

Eddie's representative reported that the couple welcomed a baby boy, named Max Charles Murphy. He was born weighing 6lbs 11oz, and measured 19 inches long.

'Both mother and son are doing well,' the statement added.

The couple announced their exciting news in August this year after new mum, Paige was spotted out and about in LA with a baby bump.

At the time a representative told People magazine: ‘Eddie Murphy and longtime girlfriend Paige Butcher are pleased to announce that they are expecting their second child in December.’

Eddie Murphy and Paige Butcher, 39, are already parents to daughter Izzy Oona, 2.

The happy couple met on the set of 2006 film 'Big Momma’s House 2', but they didn’t start dating until 2012.

The Hollywood heavyweight is also dad to oldest son, Eric, 29, with Paulette McNeely. His other children, including daughters Bella Zahra, 16, Zola Ivy, 18, Shayne Audra, 23, and Bria, 28, plus 25-year-old son Miles Mitchell, are all with ex-wife Nicole Mitchell Murphy. and an 11-year old daughter, Angel Iris, with former Spice Girl Mel B.

Previously Eddie has opened up about fatherhood when speaking to reporters at his daughter Bria’s art exhibition in 2016.

‘I really got lucky with my kids,’ Eddie said. ‘There really isn’t a bad one in the bunch, everyone turned out to be really good people.

'They’re grown. I wouldn’t say ‘old’, none of my children are grey and balding,' Murphy joked with Entertainment Tonight about his kids in 2016.

He added: ‘The brightest part of my life is my kids.

'My world revolves around them… None of my kids are like me, and I’m sure parents say this all of the time, they are all totally different from each other.

‘None of them are chips off the old block. They all have their own thing. They’re good kids.’
