EastEnders star Melissa Suffield expecting first child with fiancé
Former EastEnders star Melissa Suffield is expecting her first child.
The ex-EastEnders actress, who used to play Lucy Beale on the BBC soap, has revealed her pregnancy just three months after getting engaged.
Announcing the exciting news to The Sun, the 26-year-old said: ‘We’re so excited to become parents.
‘This next step is an adventure, and we’re looking forward to raising a happy, healthy, inquisitive, strong, and accepting child, and starting our own little family, as a trio!’
The former TV star’s 37-year-old fiancé Robert Brendan added: ‘I’m over the moon but nervous too!
‘Melissa is so used to kids, and she’ll be an amazing mum instantly.’
‘There is nobody on earth I’d rather take on this challenge with, and I’m looking forward to every second of it.’

The actress revealed that she is in her second trimester, confirming that the couple’s first child is due in the middle of March.
Melissa appeared in the BBC daytime soap between 2004 and 2010, joining at the young age of 11.
Back in July, the child soap star announced that she and Robert had got engaged.
Sharing the news on her Instagram page, Melissa uploaded an adorable photo of her hugging her new fiancé, and showing off her diamond engagement band on her ring finger.
She captioned the sweet snap with a series of hashtags and emoji symbols, including a red love heart, a diamond ring, a couple holding hands and a bride on her wedding day.
Her caption read: ‘❤️💍👫👰🏼 #ISaidYaass @mrrobertbrendan . #engaged #couple #couplegoals#isaidyes #wedding #goodvibes#positive #love #life #happy #smile#laugh #together #future #family#beach #bliss #content’.
In her post, the mum-to-be also uploaded a second photo to show off her engagement ring to her 8,570 followers.
The close up image of her gorgeous engagement ring, showed the whopping 31 diamonds in its design, plus a diamond-encrusted band too.
