David Tennant has revealed his wife Georgia Moffett is expecting their fifth child
Actor David Tennant let the news that he's expecting another child with wife Georgia Moffett slip while filming for The Late Late Show.
David was on the US talk show to talk about playing a demon in the new TV series Good Omens. But The Late Late Show’s host James Corden seemed to have other things on his mind.
‘David, we were just talking backstage, this is blowing my mind,’ said James. ‘You have four children already, your oldest is 17. You just told me you and your wife, the lovely Georgia, are expecting your fifth child.’
The audience responded with claps and cheers as the former Doctor Who admitted: ‘What’s really weird about it is we’re now getting lectures on birth control from our 17-year-old son. And that’s definitely meant to be the other way around. He’s like, “Come on, do I need to teach you the basics?” It’s mental, five is a lot.’
David adopted the couple’s eldest son Ty, who is Georgia’s son from a previous relationship. And it looks like the 17-year-old is set to follow in his parents’ footsteps, as he recently made his acting debut in Casualty.
David and Georgia met while filming for Doctor Who in 2008. Georgia played her now-husband’s daughter in the episode The Doctor’s Daughter. Hilariously, the 34-year-old actress really is The Doctor’s Daughter – her dad is former Doctor Peter Davison.
She went on to marry 48-year-old David three years later. As well as Ty, they have Olive, aged eight, Wilfred, six, and Doris, four, together.

A reporter for the Guardian once asked David if he’d deliberately set out to find a partner who was the daughter of a Doctor. He jokingly responded: ‘That’s exactly what I did, yes, and there were very few candidates available. It was a limited field.’
James Corden joked that he was already struggling with the responsibilities of being a dad-of-three. The host confessed: ‘I have three children, and I already can’t keep up with the volume of birthdays. It’s always a child’s birthday.’
