I'm a Celebrity... fans have watched contestant Anne Hegerty, who has autism, struggle with life in the camp.

One young fan in particular, who also has autism, has been watching the ITV reality show and felt compelled to wrote her a letter of support, which has now gone viral.

The letter, which has been liked over 19.6K times and has received hundreds of comments, was shared by his mum Kate Jarvis on Twitter.

The adorable notes said: 'My name is Joseph Hughes and I am 11. I live in Preston Lancashire and I go to a specialist school.

‘I was diagnosed with autism when I was five. I like to watch you on The Chase and I have been watching you in the jungle. I think you are very brave for going in the jungle, I couldn’t go in there because there are too many bugs.

‘You are very clever.

‘Sometimes people are mean to me because I’m autistic but watching you makes me see that other people can have autism too and maybe I can have a cool job like you when I am older.

He dded: ‘Do you like Thunderbirds? I love them. My favourite is Thunderbirds 2. I have drawn you a picture. I hope you like it.

‘Good luck with the jungle, I hope you win.’

The letter has been widely shared and has even reached the creators of Thunderbirds, who have promised to send young Joseph a special gift in the post.

His mum Kate told the Press Association: 'He sees his autism quite negatively sometimes, so was pleased to see someone with autism doing something like that for a job.'

Anne is an ambassador for the National Autism Society and after watching her open up to her campmates Rita Simmons, Fleur East and James McVey about her condition they tweeted: 'Lovely to see everyone supporting each other. We are backing @anne_hegerty all the way on her #imaceleb journey.'

Autism is a condition that causes people to suffer with personal relationships and effects the way they see the world around them.
