Andrea McLean makes exciting family announcement on Loose Women
Andrea McLean made a very exciting announcement live on Loose Women.
During a discussion about their animals, Brenda Edwards said she had adopted two kittens that had been brought onto the show during Monday’s episode. This prompted Andrea to open up about her dog Jackson, who passed away last year.
Andrea said: 'Obviously we've lost Jackson and we have been fostering dogs from Battersea, and you guys have made me realise that after the summer I want to get a dog.'
For many households, pets are part of the family, so this is lovely news for Andrea and her family. The Loose Women panellist is a mum to son Finlay, 17, and daughter Amy, 12, who we’re sure were devastated at the loss of family pet Jackson.
But it seems Andrea and husband Nick Feeney have made the decision to get a new four legged friend, and we’re very excited to see what breed the family choose to bring home. Jackson had died when Andrea was away filming, and she had to console her children via the phone.

Speaking to the Metro, the star opened up about that moment: 'It sounds like such a small thing but actually it was huge, the day I got told my dog died.

'My dog is a huge part of my life, and dealing with that over the phone, calming down the children, sorting them out, and walking into the house and the dog that I'd had throughout, to open the door and he wasn't there, I was dealing with that as well. So there was a whole lot going on in my head.'
Andrea had sadly announced Jackson’s passing during a live episode of Loose Women, and couldn’t hold back the tears when she spoke to the panel and audience: 'Gosh, I didn't think I would get upset. It happened a couple of weeks ago. He was a huge part of our life. A dog is a member of your family.'
We hope Andrea, Nick and family can find the perfect companion, and we can’t wait to see all the pictures when they do!
