Amanda Holden reveals she gave birth with a full face of make up - but was banned from wearing high heels
Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden has revealed that before giving birth, she was a little preoccupied with what she looked like...
The 48-year-old has revealed that when she was in labour with her first child Lexi, who is now 13-years-old, she delivered her baby girl while dolled up with a full face of makeup on.
The mum-of-two had to give birth to her eldest child via C-section, so used the opportunity to make sure she was looking her best.
Speaking on Heart FM Breakfast Show, which she presents with co-host Jamie Theakston, she revealed that she even wanted to wear high heels while giving birth but was banned by her doctors.
‘My Lexi had this thing called placenta previa which means she couldn’t come out the normal way because her placenta was in the way,’ explained Amanda recalling the birth of her eldest child.
‘She was using it as a cushion basically,’ she continued. ‘She was doing like a headstand on it.
‘So I had to have a C-section so I did full glam. I had lip gloss, I did a lash. I literally said ‘Can I wear my [stilettos]?’ and they went ‘No way you, have to take your shoes off.’’
