Alex Reid reveals devastating news that his fiancée has suffered her third miscarriage
Alex shared the sad news on Instagram.
Alex Reid, Katie Price's ex, has taken to Instagram to share the sad news that his fiancée Nikki Manashe has suffered her third miscarriage.
Alex and Nikki have been trying to conceive for the last few years but have so far been unsuccessful.
Now the couple have experienced even more heartbreak as Alex announced that Nikki has had another miscarriage. The third one the couple have suffered since starting fertility treatment.
Taking to Instagram to share the sad news Alex posted a picture of a quote: 'We couldn't wait to hold you and now we can only hold you in our hearts.'
In the caption the cage fighter explained that he had wanted to keep the matter private but was speaking out to raise awareness. Alex wrote: 'We are absolutely devastated and I wasn’t going to go public with this but I am to raise awareness. Next time you post a picture of your pregnant bump or your gorgeous baby think of those less fortunate.'
He continued: 'Today we lost baby number 3. We have been trying for a baby for several years through the help of IVF. My first baby ( yes I call every loss a baby) my ectopic baby nearly killed my fiancée and she was operated on which was life or death and lost her fallopian tube. After that loss we went on the IVF train, It has been the hardest emotional rollercoaster for us.'

Alex explained that each miscarriage has hit him and his partner very hard and that it's hard to keep trying. He urged people to think about what they say to couples who have not rushed into getting married or that don't have any children yet as often it's a financial matter and can be related to their struggle to conceive.
He wrote: 'So the next time you ask someone "why are you guys not married you have been engaged for years” or “you guys should hurry along and get baby making” maybe think before you speak. Maybe that couple is spending a wedding fund on fertility treatment and maybe that couple have been trying for 4 years for a family. Don’t take your babies for granted, cherish every single day from their first word to their first day at school because trust me when I say this. Many people would swap shoes with you to have the beautiful gift of raising a child the right way.'
Alex is already dad to six-year-old Dolly who he shares with Chantelle Houghton but is clearly desperate to start his own family with Nikki. His post has received lots of messages of support from people who have also experienced the heartbreak of unsuccessful IVF attempts and miscarriage.
One person wrote: 'So sorry to hear this sad news😔'.
Another said: 'I feel your pain so much I had 4 ectopic pregnancies and lost both my Fallopian tubes. I then went onto doing IVF on the NHS and I did end up with my son who’s now 6 and he is the best thing that’s ever happened to me!'
A third added: 'Mate I'm so sorry for your loss. Know what you're going through as I've been there twice myself. Be strong. X'.
