Sam Attwater and wife Vicky Ogden reveal 'severe' morning sickness and norovirus during pregnancy

The pair have been together since 2012

Former EastEnders actor Sam Attwater and his wife Vicky Ogden have revealed how the Dancing On Ice star suffered with severe morning sickness during her pregnancy.

The celebrity pair announced they were set to become first-time parents back in February, but the first six months of Vicky's pregnancy have not been smooth sailing.

The mum-to-be told OK! magazine; 'I was being sick up to nine times a day. It wasn't just morning sickness, it would hit me whenever. If I was in the car I would have bags with me.'

Not only did professional dancer Vicky suffer from morning sickness, she was also struck down by norovirus in the first trimester.

'I lost a lot of weight. That plays on your mind, as you want to do everything correctly for the baby. I was petrified that I wasn't giving the baby the right nutrients.'

Despite the difficulties, the parents-to-be are 'over the moon' with the news of their impending arrival: 'It all seems to have happened so fast. It's just so exciting!'

Sam, 29, first shared the lovely baby news on Twitter, posting a very happy selfie with wife Vicky.

'On our way to the baby show because we are having a baby! So excited! Thank you @vickyogden1 for making me so happy!', Sam wrote on social media.

Professional ice skater Vicky also tweeted her followers to tell them she'll be becoming a mummy in just few months: 'So happy to finally say we're having a baby. En route to #thebabyshow exciting times ahead love you @samattwater X'

Sam, who played Leon Small in EastEnders in 2010, met Vicky during the Dancing on Ice tour in 2012.

The actor had already taken part in the show's sixth series, in 2011, which he won with Brianne Delcourt, but it was a year later than he met the future Mrs Attwater.

The lovebirds returned to the ice in 2014 for Dancing On Ice: All Stars, and by then they were already skating as an engaged couple.

They tied the knot two years later, in August 2014, in a small romantic ceremony in Surrey, surrounded by family and friends.

Speaking about her special day, Vicky told OK! magazine in 2014: 'I don't want to burst out crying, but it's pointless - I will anyway. I'd been on my own for seven years when I met Sam. He was so open with his feelings and my barriers were up.

'I love that Sam ticks all my boxes. That's why I have 100 per cent faith in us now because I don't do things until I'm sure.'

In the same interview, Sam also revealed he knew Vicky was the one pretty early on.

'I knew I wanted to marry her after two months. I'd never met anyone who'd made me think and do things I wouldn't normally do', he told OK!.

The couple also said at the time that they'd like to start building their own family after enjoying a year of it being just the two of them, so they're right on schedule. 'We want a year to enjoy being a married couple and to have holidays. Then I'd like two children and she wants three', the actor said. We wish all the best to the happy couple!
