Danielle Bux welcomes a baby girl with boyfriend Nate Greenwald

'A whopper, as expected'

Danielle Bux has welcomed a baby girl with boyfriend Nate Greenwald.

Danielle, who was previously married to footballer and broadcaster Gary Lineker, confirmed the arrival of her child with American lawyer Nate on her Instagram account, sharing a sweet black and white snap of the newborn's hand and revealing the baby name the pair had chosen for their bundle of joy.

'Sisters. Our baby girl has arrived Romy Wren Greenwald. A whopper, as expected. 8.5lbs. 8/8/17 💗💗,' she wrote alongside the pic.

Danielle is already mum to daughter Ella, who was born in 2002, from her previous relationship with Adam Willis.

Her 15k followers have rushed to congratulate her on the birth of her second daughter, with one writing: 'What a lovely name. Congratulations' and another agreeing: 'bloody gorgeous, I love a chunky baby . My babies were 8lb , 9 lb 4 oz and a tiny 3lb 4oz . Enjoy your baby girl'.

Danielle confirmed rumours that she was expecting again back in March, with an image posted on Mother's Day that displayed her growing bump.

Ex-husband Gary, who Danielle split from in January 2016 after six years of marriage, expressed his happiness for the couple about the news at the time, with a comment which read: 'Congratulations. Thrilled for you 😘'

He's also since left a similar comment on baby Romy's birth announcement, adding: 'Congratulations to you both. Chuffed for you x'

Reports in the past have suggested that Gary and Danielle parted ways over her desire to have another baby, with a source telling the Mirror: 'They made a great couple but their different views on having children is what made them realise they had to split.'

'They both know it is the right thing to do and are looking forward to the future. They are convinced they will stay friends.'

However, neither Danielle or Gary have addressed this speculation, with Danielle citing 'unreasonable behaviour' in their divorce papers.

'According to UK law, only one party can actually file, regardless of whether it is a mutual decision,' a spokesperson told the Mail of her reasoning. 'The law also states that you have to choose one of two reasons for parting; either adultery or unreasonable behaviour.'

'Therefore a decision was made for Danielle to file and (it) wasn't adultery.'
