Dan Osborne hits back at 'sad' commenters criticising him for giving daughter Ella juice in a bottle

'You very sad people should concentrate on your own awful lives'

Celeb dad Dan Osborne has been forced to hit back after commenters on his Instagram account criticised him for giving his two-year-old daughter juice in a bottle.

The former TOWIE star, who shares Ella with EastEnders actress Jacqueline Jossa, and also has a son from a previous relationship, sparked controversy when he shared a picture of himself and his daughter having breakfast together.

'Having breakfast with my beautiful little girl this morning before pre school 😊👌🏼💗,' he captioned the pic.

Some of Dan's 836,000 followers were preoccupied with his meal, with one telling him to 'turn the toaster down next time', but there was another element in the image that caught the eye of the majority of his fans - Ella's drink, which appeared to be a bottle of fruit juice.

'Juice in a bottle!!! 😱smh lovely pic though 💗', one commenter wrote, whilst a second added: 'I just don't like seeing children not receiving the care they need. I'd hate my children to have bad teeth when they're older.'

Others debated whether the drink inside was suitable, as well as questioning the bottle itself, saying: 'Fair enough if its a comfter at bed with milk but i dont understand it myself.. alot of people do it and i dont understand why.'

'She isnt a baby shes a toddler she needs a cup suitable... Sorry but when you do give a 3 year old a babies bottle you are gunna get comments,' another agreed, in a comment which Dan felt inspired to respond to directly.

'Nothing wrong with the bottle.. and she 2, so to all of you commenting about a bottle, you very sad people should concentrate on your own awful lives,' he hit back.

Dan's supporters were quick to back up his defence, with many saying that they had given similar bottles to their own children.

'There is nothing wrong with it in the slightest,' one exclaimed. 'The child clearly has great life and parents. It's juice how they get her to drink it is up to them. She may be more comfortable drinking it that way. Can't do right for doing wrong .. Hardly drink wine from the bottle 😂'

'Don't worry my little girl is 2 and I'm a dental nurse,' another assured. 'she still has a bottle for her milk at night.. They are still babies at that age and it's comfort.. Nothing wrong with it! 👌👌'
