Coleen Rooney announces that her family will move to America to support Wayne
Coleen announced the news on Twitter.
Mum-of-four Coleen Rooney has confirmed that her family will relocate to Washington DC following Wayne's signing at DC United.
Wayne has signed a £300,000-a-week deal with the US football team and Coleen and his children are going to follow him Stateside while he continues his footballing career.
The news comes after months of speculation as to whether Coleen would move her young family to America to be with their dad but she finally confirmed the news on Twitter.
Writing to her 1.27 million followers Coleen said: 'Wishing our Daddy and my Wayne all the luck, happiness and success in America!!! It’s a move we are going to do as a family.'
In a second tweet the doting wife and busy mum reiterated how proud she was of Wayne's career so far. She said: 'Leaving England with so many trophies and also as England and Man Utd’s all time Top goal scorer is a massive achievement!! It hasn’t been done for years and you did it!!!'
Coleen's tweets were met with hundreds of well-wishes and messages of good luck to the whole family.
One person wrote: 'Oh you will love it 💖wishing you the very best as a family.'

Before the news was confirmed a friend of Coleen's told The Sunday Mirror they thought the move would be good for the whole family and that they could have a fresh start following the rumours of infidelity over the years.
The source said: 'Coleen and the kids could easily join him in the US. The east coast is perfect for travelling back to the UK or the Caribbean on holiday. She didn't fancy moving out to China, but she's really keen on a few years in the USA.'
Coleen and Wayne have been married since June 2008 and recently celebrated their 10 year wedding anniversary. They share four children, eight-year-old Kai, five-year-old- Klay, two-year-old Kit and Cass who was born in February this year.
Coleen has been with Wayne throughout the tough times in his career as well as the triumphs, including his first ever World Cup goal against Uruguay in 2014.
Good luck to the Rooney family on your exciting new move – we can't wait for the updates on Instagram!
