Candice Swanepoel shares first snap of her ‘perfect’ baby boy after giving birth at home

Candice Swanepoel has welcomed her second child with her partner of 13 years, Hermann Nicoli.

The 29-year-old South African model confirmed the happy news on Instagram late last night as she posted a photo of her with her new son.

In the adorable snap, Candice can be seen cradling her newborn as she gazes down at him.

She captioned the picture: ‘Thank you so much for all the well wishes... Our little man was born this morning at home and he couldn’t be more perfect.’

The Victoria's Secret didn’t reveal whether or not they had named their new child, but both mother and baby looked very content as they rested at home.

Earlier in the day she shared a picture of the baby’s hands on her Instagram story and simply captioned it: ‘Blessed.’

Candice and Hermann already have a 20-month-old son named Anacã together. The pair got engaged in August 2015.

Just a day before giving birth, Candice posted a cute black and white photo of her and Anacã both showing off their tummies.

‘Monday morning cuteness. Hoping to meet our newest addition soon! So ready for the next phase..and to be able to see my toes again,’ she wrote alongside it.

The pretty blonde previously admitted that she would like to have a 'bunch of kids' but would leave her future in the hands of fate.

'I don't plan too much into the future. I believe a lot in destiny and that what happens - you can try to manifest certain things, but I definitely do want to continue having a great career and building my family as well because I'm really loving that. I definitely want to have a bunch of kids,’ she said.

Speaking about motherhood, she added: 'It's such a mixture of feelings. It's amazing though - I'm loving motherhood. I loved my pregnancy too, all the different stages.'

No doubt Candice has been swapping parenting tips with her good friend and fellow model Behati Prinsloo, who recently welcomed her second child with husband Adam Levine.

The 29-year-old shared a sweet picture of Adam and baby Gio Grace on Instagram over the weekend to celebrate Father's Day.

Another celebrity who has given birth in the last 24 hours is Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria. The actress welcomed a baby boy at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles yesterday and revealed he weighed 6 lbs and 13 oz.
