Britney Spears' little sister Jamie-Lynn Spears announces she's expecting her second child
She took to social media to share the happy news
Jamie-Lynn Spears, Britney Spears' little sister, has announced on social media that she's expecting her second child.
The 26-year-old actress and singer took to Instagram on Christmas Eve to announce her exciting news, with a photo of herself with husband Jamie Watson and her daughter, Maddie.
Jamie-Lynn captioned the photo: 'Looks like we are starting off 2018 with another big milestone...sooo happy to announce that Maddie is FINALLY going to be a big sister. 2017 was filled with some of the biggest challenges of my life, as well as some of the biggest blessings, so I made a choice to lay low this year to focus on truly becoming my best self as a person and as an artist.
'During that time, I continued working on my music and telling my story, which has created some of my most honest work and I CANT wait to share that with you all very soon. 2018 is going to be filled with many milestones both personally and professionally. I appreciate each of you for your patience and support through it all. 2018 has a lot coming, so GET READY........ #12DaysofJLS'
This will be Jamie-Lynn's first child with her husband Jamie Watson, whom she married in 2014, while her nine-year-old daughter Maddie is from her previous relationship with ex-fiance Casey Aldridge.
The great news meant the growing family got to end 2017 on a high, after Maddie survived a traumatic accident earlier in the year.
The young girl was hospitalised and left fighting for her life after the off-road vehicle she was riding flipped over into a pond. She has since fully recovered.

After the challenges of this year, Maddie will now be able to 'finally' look forward to becoming an older sister.
Jamie-Lynn's older sister Britney Spears performed her final Vegas residency show on December 31st which seems like perfect timing for her to be on hand for any aunt duties.
