Brigitte Nielsen welcomes her fifth child at 54
Brigitte Nielsen confirmed that happy news that she has given birth!
Actress Brigitte Nielsen has given birth to her fifth child aged 54 after announcing she was expecting a baby with her husband Mattia Dessi in May.
When Brigitte broke the news that she was expecting, she debuted a very well-developed baby bump but did not reveal how far along in her pregnancy she was.
Less than a month later, the actress has given birth to a baby girl and confirmed the news with People magazine.
Brigitte gave birth on Friday 22 June, to a tiny little girl who weighed just 5lbs and 9oz. Choosing their daughter's name was easy as they went for something inspired by the day she was born – Frida!
Speaking about her newest arrival, which comes 23 years after she last gave birth, Brigitte said: 'It's been a long road, and so worth it. We've never been more in love.'
She had wanted to expand her family for some time and had previously told Hello! Magazine that the couple were keen to try fertility treatments like IVF to make it happen.
She said: 'The children have kept me going. After I do Playboy, we want to try IVF. It’s asking a lot, but if it’s possible, it would make our package complete'.
