Beyoncé shares the first picture of her one-month-old twins

She also confirmed their names

Beyoncé has revealed the first public picture of the twin children she shares with husband Jay-Z.

The singer, 35, took to Instagram to share the photograph with her 104 million followers, whilst also confirming the baby names that the couple have chosen for the pair.

'Sir Carter and Rumi 1 month today. 🙏🏽❤️👨🏽👩🏽👧🏽👶🏾👶🏾' she wrote alongside the sweet snap, which shows her cradling her son and daughter in front of an elaborate arch of flowers.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z are also parents to daughter Blue Ivy, five, and announced they were expanding their family again back in February 2017, with a similarly stunning floral pic of the star.

'We would like to share our love and happiness,' they said at the time. 'We have been blessed two times over. We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes. - The Carters'.

News of the twins' birth broke in June, with multiple sources telling the press that Beyoncé had welcomed one boy and one girl.

Beyoncé's dad Matthew Knowles also appeared to verify the speculation with a post on his Twitter account, writing: 'They're here! #beyonce #twins #jayz #happybirthday'.

Shortly afterwards, rumours of their names began circulating as Beyoncé and Jay-Z filed trademarks on the names Rumi Carter and Sir Carter, just as they did with the name Blue Ivy in 2012.

However, this new picture marks the first time either of the parents have spoken out about their new arrivals.

'You are so beautiful 😭 your children are beautiful 😭 we are not worthy 😭' one fan exclaimed after seeing the latest image, whilst another gushed: 'Yes bey, we love you and the new sweethearts. Good luck with sir and rumi ❤❤❤'.

'OMG! Congratulations Queen,' a third agreed. 'They twins are so beautiful. God bless your family.'
