Mum spends three days bonding with son who passed away thanks to temperature controlled 'cuddle cot'
'I felt like I was able to be a mum to him, and that's something I'll never forget'
A mum who was able to spend three days with her baby son after his death thanks to a 'cuddle cot' is fundraising to help other bereaved mothers have the same positive experience.
Becki Wilson's son Carter-James passed away in February 2016, and she was given the opportunity to bond with him for a further three days with what is known as a 'cuddle cot', which keeps the baby at a suitable temperature - something she says she'll 'never forget'.
'I got to dress him, got to wash him and got to stare at him for hours like any other mother would,' she explains.
'Being able to do that made a dramatic difference. I felt like I was able to be a mum to him, and that's something I'll never forget.'

After her sad loss, Becki met another family whose child had died and wanted to use the cot as well, but it wasn't available.
Adding that the discovery 'broke her heart', she began fundraising for another cuddle cot for the hospital where Carter-James was born, to be donated in his memory.
