Lisa Riley is set to make a dramatic comeback to Emmerdale’s as Mandy Dingle this autumn.
Emmerdale fans will be excited to know that 42-year-old Lisa is returning the ITV soap in September, and unlike her brief appearance on the show earlier this year - reports suggest she'll be reprising her role as Mandy on an ongoing basis.
As Emmerdale’s press day, a spokesperson for Emmerdale said: ‘We are very excited about this. Mandy Dingle and her son Vinny are coming back to the village and they are coming back with scandal and everything going on. It's going to be very fun and colourful as she makes herself at home in the Dingle household.’
Lisa has since confirmed the news via Instagram sharing a fuzzy throwback photo of her time playing Mandy outside 'Dingles Bar'.
Alongside the snap she wrote: ‘YES YES YES!!! 😊😊😊I am seriously overjoyed to FINALLY confirm to you all, I will be returning to @itv @emmerdale it’s 100% THE TRUTH!!!

This isn’t the first time Mandy Dingle and son Vinny make a comeback to the soap.
In January this year, a whole 17 years after Lisa left Emmerdale, she made a brief return to the Dale village to drop the bombshell that Bear Wolf was her ex-husband Paddy Dingle's biological father.
