Amanda, who is also a radio presenter for Heart Breakfast Show and regularly discusses her family on the morning segment, recently shocked fans when she admitted her husband, British musician Chris Hughes, nearly died after choking while the pair were on holiday, but was saved by a Hollywood actor.
‘What happened was, as he was eating pasta he got a bit lodged in his throat, thought "Oh, OK I’ll have a bit of Diet Coke or whatever to swish it down."
‘And he completely went blue, could not breathe,’ she continued.
‘Out of nowhere this man came and did the Heimlich manoeuvre on him and he threw up all over the table’.
The 48-year-old said that Chris then turned around to realise Spider-Man 3 actor Thomas Haden Church had been the one to save him.
We wouldn’t be surprised if the TV star’s brush with Hollywood led to another career change!
