Amanda Holden hospitalised and rushed into surgery after freak accident on family holiday
Amanda Holden suffered a rather unfortunate accident while on holiday last week - and it sounds seriously painful.
The Britain’s Got Talent judge was enjoying a sun soaked European getaway with her husband Chris Hughes and their daughters Hollie and Lexi when she suffered the nasty mishap.
During a day spent out at sea playing on an inflatable obstacle course, Amanda managed to snap her leg in two places and end up being rushed to a local hospital.
Confirming the shock news yesterday, Amanda said on her Heart FM show, “Sadly this is true. I suffered a nasty accident while playing in the sea with the family during our half-term holiday and subsequently broke my leg in two places.

Taking to Instagram to share an update with fans today, the Heart breakfast show host shared a snap of herself laying on a sun lounger with her leg encased in a giant cast.
Proving her sense of humour is still up to scratch despite being in pain, Amanda captioned the photo, ‘Heart Break fast ! 💔 #leg.’
Reacting to the injury image, hordes of commenters sent their get well wishes beneath the pic, including lots of Amanda’s celeb pals.
‘Get well soon 😘,’ penned Peter Andre, while TOWIE diva Gemma Collins assured her she still looks as glam as ever, adding, ‘You look fabulous darling 💗.’
'Noooooo. But if anyone can make this the height of fashion it’s you,' said showbiz journalist Dan Wootton.
In true Holden style, Amanda isn’t letting her injury stop her from working hard, with a rep confirming that she will be back on the job, hosting Heart breakfast with Jamie Theakston on Monday morning, saying, “‘Despite this painful accident it’s business as usual for Amanda and she will return to Heart Breakfast on Monday 28th October."
