Lesley trained as a midwife at the University of Leeds in 2012, then went on to work in both a large teaching hospital and a smaller local district hospital. She has since gone on to complete post-graduate qualifications in Supporting Learning in Practice acting as a mentor to students, and PROMPT Train the Trainer enabling her to teach obstetric emergencies, and the NMC Train The Trainer Test of Competence. An expert in antenatal care, in particular, clinic care working directly with obstetricians, homebirth, birth centre and delivery suite, Lesley has been a Clinical Educator teaching doctors, midwives, and healthcare assistants and working within the senior leadership team. Lesley is passionate about holistic care during pregnancy, labour and beyond, and making positive differences to maternity experiences.
